Coco

The briefing for Coco was to design an elegant steel frame chair covered in thick leather. "We therefore aimed to create a sort of ‘dress’ from saddle leather that could be put on the steel frame as on a mannequin," says Harald.
It’s not surprising, then, that EOOS spent more than half a year on developing the pattern for the "dress", going so far as to

call in an assistant to Vivienne Westwood as an outside expert. The result is a very special chair with a cover consisting of only three pieces of leather that are joined by a single, unbroken seam. The visible sheared edges are varnished and burnished by hand. The natural folds and curves of
the leather cover lend Coco additional charm and character.
