tree in the wind In this design commissioned by the Italian furniture manufacturer Montina, EOOS modified a solid wooden chair by making a precise cut in the chair back. This turns a rigid chair into a dynamic piece of furniture. EOOS has patented the special technique used to make this cut. The cut in the back of the chair gives the chair a completely natural elasticity. No additional materials or mechanical moving parts are used. Sweetwood moves like a tree in the wind. |
