Together' is the result of a research project on the cultural development of domestic seating habits carried out by EOOS Basic Research. During the 1970s, the sofa was a place for sociable get-togethers with friends. Special meals were even prepared for eating at a raised coffee table in front of the sofa. By the end of the 20th century, the trend had reverted to eating at the dining table. The upholstered dining chair became a symbol of social respectability. Today, we believe that the modern trend towards cooking with friends in new, open-plan kitchen spaces demands a reinterpretation of the dining area.

the corner seat

The traditional image of the corner seat recalls to mind sociable gatherings in old farmhouses. The classic interpretation, assuming the comfort level of a sofa, means freedom of placement anywhere in the room. This item encapsulates the belief of EOOS that there should be no difference between office furniture and domestic furniture. The corner seat is equally suited to both meetings at work and relaxed evenings at home.
