What used to be hard and rigid has suddenly become soft and flexible: the thin part of the backrest bends backwards, supported by the thicker wood slat. Remarkably, value is added precisely by the fact that something has been subtracted. In 2003, Sweetwood won the Adolf Loos State Prize for Design.
