At the XXII Triennale di Milano, Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival, EOOS presented CIRCULAR FLOWS. The Toilet Revolution as the official Austrian contribution. Commissioned by the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts, curated by Marlies Wirth, and funded by the Austrian Federal Chancellery, the project explored the role of design in restoring ecological systems.

Developed as a multimedia installation in collaboration with Process Studio, the exhibition visualized the interconnected cycles of wastewater, agriculture, and coastal waters. It demonstrated how urine-separation sanitation can help close nutrient loops, repair the global nitrogen cycle, and contribute to maintaining the planet’s ecological boundaries. The Austrian contribution was awarded the Triennale’s Black Bee Award (Silver).
