LIQUID GOLD at KunstHausWien Museum Hundertwasser explored the potential of plant-based wastewater treatment as a regenerative design strategy. Conceived as a tribute to Friedensreich Hundertwasser and his pioneering ecological thinking, the exhibition brought together research, photographs, historical material, prototypes, and a 1:1 model of a plant-based public urinal. It traced the lineage from the work of hydrobotanist Käthe Seidel to contemporary sanitation concepts, demonstrating how ecological cycles can inspire new approaches to public infrastructure.
