This chair was our first experiment with thick leather. We cut long slits in the surface and fastened them together in the middle. The tension and consistency of the material produced a very elegant deformation, a curve that would serve well as a backrest. Already the very first prototypes in our workshop indicated that the minimalist appearance of the chair would be highly distinctive without compromising ergonomic qualities – thanks in particular to the flexibility of the steel rods used for the frame. The leather is tightened with cords under the seat without any additional reinforcement. If the leather loses its tension over time, the cords can simply be retightened. The product range currently includes armchairs, chairs with and without armrests as well as bar stools.
