Function is not the main priority with a side table, but it inspires other possibilities, for example geometric experiments. Our design strictly follows the laws of geometry, but also the logic of mechanical production. In geometric terms, Oota is nothing more than a hyperboloid of one sheet obtained by rotating a hyperbola. In this geometric figure, two generating straight lines run through each point on the surface; one set of straight lines is oriented to the left, the other to the right. Two points are connected horizontally at the bottom and under the glass top of the table. This creates the impression of an infinite loop of steel rods.
