Still today, a classic wooden chair can be reinvented from the inside out. When it came to finding an alternative to the heavy and laborious solid wood frame construction, all it took was four thin and lightweight molded elements. Although as little material as possible is used, the tension between the individual components achieves remarkable stability. All molded elements, including backrest and seat, are formed from thin cellulose sheets with wood veneer surface layers. Hussl can press the materials into the desired shape themselves and are no longer dependent on external suppliers, as would be the case with plywood. Hence, the chair can be manufactured in its entirety on site.

The molded elements are manufactured automatically using a five-axis CNC milling machine and then embedded on the underside of the seat to create a firm connection.
Without having to turn the chair over, one can easily recognize the unique frame construction in the different directions of the veneer: the molded frames have a vertical grain, while the solid wood joints run horizontally.
